Paint Tool Sai For Mac With Pen Pressure

broken image

The Paint Tool Sai pen pressure is NOT WORKING. I've seen several posts about this same problem, but all of these users have tablets. I have one too of course, but once it stopped working I resorted to using the mouse, just to find out that the mouse wasn't making the pen tool work either. So in short, it's not my tablet or my tablet settings. And I do NOT have a Wacom either (I think I. So the first important thing to do is to download sai ON YOUR MAC DESKTOP. Follow all of the instructions in the paint tool sai link above! Open the downloaded sai file ON YOUR PARALLELS DESKTOP. Pen pressure to get pen pressure, all you have to do is to click the small usb icon at the top right icon on the toolbar of parallels.

Sai No Pen Pressure

You can use pressure only if you have a tablet because with the pen you are able to press and get the pressure from that. But if you are having problems with SAI make sure you go to. Paint tool is an industrious and small tool similar to photoshop but awsome for manga and anime images as well as other photo editing. This is PaintTool SAI running on Mac OS X via a self contained Wine wrapper. I'm used to blocking in solid colors/values, then using pen pressure to blend (photoshop). Is it possible to turn off pen pressure in SAI? Or any other way to paint solidly?

I am going to teach you how to make an eraser for that deliciously pixelated Binary tool in Paint Tool Sai!

Firstly, scroll down and find your Binary tool. Now you are going to need to set your pen up for pressure sensitivity and what-have-you so let me explain what all this junk is. ( If you know how to set your pens up then skip this. )
Size - This slider lets you pick what size of brush you want or you can just pick from the preset down below.
Min Size - This is the minimum brush size, used when pressure sensitivity is on.
Pen

Opacity - This determines the degree of transparency. The higher the more solid.

Advanced Settings - Make sure you tick this so you can get at the rest of your settings.
Hard <-> Soft - This is your pressure sensitivity. The lower the number the harder you will have to press down for thicker lines. The higher it is the lighter you will have to draw for thinner lines.
Size - Tick this to turn pressure sensitivity on.

Now onto making a Binary Eraser, right click on your Binary tool and click duplicate.
Scroll down and find the duplicate, it should be titled ‘BinaryPen' Right click on that and select Options.

Change the name to Binary Eraser so you know what it is and set a shortcut. You can also set the tool's own stroke smoothing and pressure smoothing levels here.
Pen

Stroke Stabilizer - This stabilizes each stroke making them very smooth. This is very handy when inking long lines especially for those with shaky hands. If you use this know that it is normal for the lines to drag a bit after the cursor.
Pressure Stabilizer - This stabilizes the pen pressure making for smoother transitioning between the many different brush sizes as you draw.
Lastly in your Binary Eraser tool settings drag the Opacity slider to 0 and now you're done! Have fun erasing. 0u0 #Paint Tool Sai#Sai#Tutorial
